Room Service Request

This is a questionable picture involving Brent Sandberg to put up on the ol' blog but it was on my phone and it does have quite the story, however, the story is going to remain in the picture...

Venice Sunset

Venice beach is like no other place on this planet.  You will see everything there from bums, to skaters, to foreigners, to black guys saying they are rappers trying to get you to "listen" to their CD, to medical marijuana booths, to reggae looking guys, to homeless kids, and to the craziest people in Southern California.  Not a place I like to go very often to, but definitely a place to go at least once in your life.

Queen Bee pics

I try and cease the moment when I get to take a picture of Whitney, aka: queen bee.  The one in Hermosa is by a bench that we walk by quite a bit when I met her for lunch.  The other one is at a home at the St. George home show, it was a pretty cool chase lounge chair.

Sweet rides

Something Mandale and I had in common at one point: we both had crappy cars, and they were both a teal color.  I had a 1992 ford taurus that we bought at an estate sale when we lived in utah.  The car only had 29,000 miles on it!  I bought it for $1600, put about 30K+ miles on it, drove it to Texas and back to CA and this picture of it up on the tow truck was the last time that we drove it.  I blew a head gasket, outside of that, we didn't have one problem with that car.  The better news is that I ended up selling it for $500 cash, and it didn't even run.  Talk about a solid ROI!!  Whitney's prayers were answered when this car died, I loved this car.

Seeing this entrance to your hotel might be one of the coolest things ever.  This is the entrance to the Palazzo suites connected to the Rio.  There are only 9 rooms I believe in this tower and they are by far some of the nicest rooms ever.  Our first experience was staying in a 3 bedroom suite where we each had our own balcony and hot tub on the balcony.  What is great about this is that you can park your car right in front of the entrance and get limo service right without dealing with everyone else around.  Love these room.  The last picture is of Louis the 13th sleeping on the couch after a long night, then room service at 3am-good times.

Blue beach chair and a yellow Rockstar

I spent a lot of time in my blue beach chair.  It is rusted and doesn't shut very easily.  I would love to be able to add up the hours I have spent at the beach over the last year and a half.  The amount of volleyball I've played and the amount of Rockstar's I've gone through-the numbers would impress me.

Matisyahu

So this is a picture that I am exicted to post on here.  It isn't the greatest picture, but then again, these are cell phone pictures so it's more about the story attached to them.  Matisyahu is one of my favorite reggae groups, if not my favorite.  I was able to see him perform in Park City, UT a couple years back and I loved it.  I saw that he was on tour in Southern California and planned on seeing him at The Grove in Anaheim.  I went with Nathan Northup and his girlfriend Erin Jenny who are both awesome people and big Matisyahu fans.  He is a hasidic jew and sings about it in his music and wears traditional jewish items.  There was one group that performed before him that was ok, they had 2 drummers which is something I had never seen so it was interesting.  Matisyahu came on and ended up playing a 2 1/2 hour set which is a lot but we loved every minute of it.  I can't wait for the next opportunity to see him again, hopefully sometime soon.

4 year anniversary

August 11th was our 4th wedding anniversary-wow time flies!  Whitney and I were together almost 2 years before we got married so it is crazy to think that we have known each other for over 6 years now.  I have really grown to love and care about her, she means everything to me.  We went to Houstons for dinner which is pretty much one of our favorite places.  They have this prime rib french dip sandwich that we both love.  There is this California burger there that is pretty solid as well.  Overall, if I want to make Whitney happy, I can rely on Houstons.

Coolest dude

My youngest bro in law can be pretty entertaining.  One picture he is doing his biggest smile, and in the other one he is doing his "angry" face.  He does things that make me crack up and it is usually pretty fun to be around him.

Awkward

For some reason, we get this summer weather in September where the weather is perfect on the beach.  Two of my best friends Nathan Northup, Mandale Hackett and I went out to the Hermosa pier and did our thing which consists of playing frisbee and going body surfing.  An awkward photo opp came up and I had to take the picture

A view a picture can't describe

PALMS SKY VILLA
I have been priviledged to stay in some of the best hotel rooms that Las Vegas has to offer.  I've experienced what it feels like to be a high roller and to have the red carpet laid out for you.  From butler service, to private pools, to private hot tubs that hang over the building and look out across the Vegas skyline, to Jay-Z concerts, to cirque du soleil shows, to massages at the spa, poolside cabanas, limo transportation, $500+ rounds of golf, fine dining of steak and crab, bowling in our hotel room, to spending quality time with my best friends on earth...I have experienced it in Vegas.
This picture was taken in the Palms Sky Villa.  It was once the most expensive hotel room in the world going for $40K a night.
